Quotes are free and there's no obligation. For diagnostic work we'll be upfront about the rate before we book anything in — you'll never get an invoice with a number on it you haven't already heard.
Mostly, though it depends on what's in the wall and how easy it is to get a cable there. Single-storey homes with roof access are straightforward; a mid-floor unit wall can be trickier. We'll tell you what's realistic before quoting.
It can be. Flickering across multiple rooms can indicate a loose connection in the switchboard or the main supply, which is worth looking at promptly. A single flickering light is usually the fitting or the dimmer.
Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. If it's urgent and unsafe, ring anyway — we'll tell you straight away whether we can get there or whether you're better off with an emergency service.
